Hyderabad: Telangana has achieved phenomenal growth after the State formation under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao across macroeconomic indicators such as Gross State Domestic Product and gross value added in services, banking & insurance, industry, agriculture, manufacturing and construction sectors, which is evident by the latest RBI handbook on Indian States 2020-21.
The State Domestic Product grew 117 per cent from Rs 4,51,580.40 crore in 2013-14 to Rs 9,80,407.01 crore in 2020-21.
Telangana’s value added in the services sector jumped 120 per cent from Rs 2,42,272.96 crore in 2013-14 to Rs 5,33,230.87 crore in 2020-21.
Similarly, the State’s gross value added in the banking and insurance sector went up 99.8 per cent from Rs 26,595.53 crore in 2013-14 to Rs 53,145.22 crore in 2020-21.
Gross value added in industry went up by 74.9 per cent from Rs 1,02,825.74 crore in 2013-14 to Rs 1,79,884.62 crore.
Gross value added in agriculture saw a jump of 71 per cent from Rs 47,092.85 crore to Rs 80,574 crore in 2020-21.
Telangana’s gross value added in manufacturing in 2020-21 went up by 64.5 per cent to Rs 94,020.82 crore from Rs 57,148.39 crore in 2013-14.
Gross value added in construction grew by 50.6 per cent from Rs 24,582.42 crore in 2013-14 to Rs 37,029.76 crore in 2020-21.
