Telangana: Students from Kodad school to witness Independence Day at Red Fort

Nalgonda: Fifteen students of Teja Vidyalaya, Kodad, have been selected to witness the 79th Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort in New Delhi on August 15.
The Union Defence Ministry conducted a national-level quiz competition on three topics — the role of women in shaping the new India, Bharat Ranabhoomi – Border of India, and Atma Nirbhar innovation in national security. Out of 2.15 lakh students who participated across the country, 200 meritorious students were shortlisted, including 15 from Teja Vidyalaya.
School Principal U Rama Somi Reddy said 182 students from the school had participated in the competition, with the 15 top performers earning the opportunity to watch the Independence Day celebrations in the national capital. Director Somi Reddy said preparations began as early as June, with students encouraged to follow newspapers daily and read relevant books.
The faculty and management congratulated the selected students – Banala Smaran, Ambati Vasudeva Reddy, Keesara Hasini, Natte Deekshan, M Aditya, Annem Akhil Reddy, Vallou Aswith, G Vikshitha, P Karthik, N Ananya, N Niksitha, G Om Ganesh, D Mahendar, M Harshavardhan Reddy, and Mithun Chakravarthy. The students will attend the celebrations along with their parents.
