Telangana successfully conducts caste survey: CM Revanth Reddy

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar serving notices to 10 turncoat MLAs was done as per procedure and denied to comment further stating that the issue was subjudice.
The Chief Minister claimed that the caste survey was done effectively. The Telangana government had presented a roadmap on caste survey and SC categorization. The documents being presented in the House would serve as reference material in future, he said in an informal chit chat with media persons in the Assembly premises on Tuesday.
“These exercises will now exerting pressure on Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Revanth Reddy said.
Regarding the SC categorisation, the Chief Minister said measures would be initiated as per the Supreme Court orders, cabinet sub committee and one man commission recommendations.
Similarly, as per the Court orders, a dedicated BC Commission was constituted. The caste survey was conducted to ensure effective implementation of welfare programmes but not to use the findings during elections, he added.
