Warangal: The Commissioner’s Task Force police team has seized a 110 quintals of PDS rice worth of Rs 2.75 lakhs at Rajavaram village of Chilpur mandal in Hanamkonda district on Thursday.

The Task Force team raided the house of Motam Jampaiah at Rajavaram village and seized the PDS rice from his house.


“On interrogation, Jampaiah has revealed that he had purchased it from surrounding villages and was transporting it to other states, needy persons and poultry forms at higher price for his illegal benefits,” said a press note.

The seized property along with accused have been handed over to Chilpur police for further legal action.
