Telangana: Teacher booked in POCSO case for misbehaving with Class V girl student in Mancherial

Mancherial: A headmaster from a government primary school was booked for allegedly misbehaving with a girl student at Jaggayyapet village in Bheemini mandal on Friday.
Bheemini police said that a case was registered against Ramesh, headmaster of the school under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act based on a complaint received from the father of the girl studying Class V. Investigations were taken up.
The parent alleged that the teacher harassed the girl for sexual favours, while touching private parts of the girl under the guise of teaching lessons at regular intervals. He accused Ramesh of being arrogant when he questioned him about his act.
He demanded officials of the education department to probe into allegations and take action against the teacher. It was learned that Ramesh drew similar criticism from parents when he was working with another school in the past.
