Hyderabad: Telangana is all set to witness another bout of heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next three days as the deep depression in Bay of Bengal has intensified into cyclonic storm ‘Gulab’ on Sunday morning. The cyclonic storm, currently lying at about 180 km from Kalingapatnam, is expected to move westwards and make a landfall near Kalingapatnam, to cross the coasts of north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha between Visakhapatnam and Gopalpur this evening.

Under its influence, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected at many places in the State with heavy to very heavy rain at ISOLATED places for the next 24 hours. Thereafter, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places with heavy to very heavy rains at isolated places for next two days.

The Met officials have issued an orange alert and advised people against venturing out. Heavy to very heavy rain is expected over the districts of Jagtial, Nirmal, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhongir, Jangaon, Warangal (Warangal Rural), Mahabubabad, and Khammam.
