Telangana: Transgenders attack cross-dresser, tonsure him in Ramayampet

The transgenders accused the 45-year-old man of stealing their livelihood

Medak: In a shocking incident, a group of transgenders attacked a cross-dresser, who was begging in a saree in Ramayampet town on Friday.

The transgenders noticed the man begging in their attire and cornered him. A heated argument broke out and the transgenders thrashed the man. His saree was torn.

The transgenders paraded him naked and tonsured his hair, even as shell-shocked passersby watched helplessly.

The man, aged around 45 years, has been begging in a saree, posing as a transgender, since last week.

After coming to know about him, a group of transgenders confronted and questioned him. They accused him of stealing their livelihood. As the victim refrained from filing a case, the police registered a case.
