Suryapet: Two persons including a woman died on the spot and three others were injured when lightning struck them at Lingampally of Nuthankal mandal in Suryapet district on Sunday morning.
The five, all agriculture labourers, were plucking red chillies in an agriculture field when lightning struck them, killing two on the spot and the three others suffering serious injuries. The injured were shifted to government general hospital at Suryapet by ambulance for treatment.
