Telangana: Unseasonal rains, hailstorm lash Jagtial district

Ready-to-harvest paddy and sesame crops damaged in a big way; house in Ibrahimpatnam mandal collapses

JAGTIAL: Unseasonal rains coupled with hailstorm and gale hit many places in Jagtial district on Friday evening. Besides Metpalli town, Ibrahimpatnam, Mallapur, Korutla, Metpalli and other mandals too received rains.

Paddy ready for harvesting as well as sesame crops were damaged in a big way due to heavy winds. While mangoes fell to the ground, turmeric stocked in the Metpalli market was soaked in rainwater.
