Peddapalli: Farmers in Peddapalli district continue to struggle with urea shortage, forcing them to stand in long queues, marking their place with slippers, Aadhaar cards and pattadar passbooks.
In a fresh incident on Wednesday, farmers lined up outside the DCMS office at Ramaiahpalli in Dharmaram mandal after learning that 270 bags of urea had been allocated to the village.
They complained that the stock was grossly insufficient to meet the demand.
Similar scenes were witnessed in Kunaram of Kalvasrirampur mandal, where ryots had been waiting for fertiliser since Tuesday night.
