Telangana: Warehouse in Bahadurpura gutted, triggers panic
Smoke from the heavy vehicle spare parts warehouse engulfs adjacent residential building; residents moved to safety
Hyderabad: Fire broke out at a heavy vehicle spare parts warehouse at Bahadurpura in old city on Thursday night. No casualties were reported. The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
As per available information, fire erupted in the warehouse which had loads of spare parts. The flames swiftly spread to the entire ware house gutting the entire place.
Local residents panicked at the sight of huge flames and alerted the Fire Department and local police.
On receiving information, the Fire Department personnel along with the Bahadurpura police reached the spot and first shifted out any combustible material stored in the warehouse, which averted a possible major mishap.
The smoke engulfed the adjacent residential building, and the police vacated the residents and moved them to safety.
Using three fire engines, the flames were doused and the situation was brought under control. Police are investigating.
