Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar assured the Union Secretary, Rural Development, that the State Government will take all necessary measures to complete forest clearances for road works under Prime Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) by March 15.
The assurance came at a video conference that Nagendra Nath Sinha, Secretary, Rural Development, had with Chief Secretaries of all States on forest clearances to take up road works under PMGSY and road connectivity projects in areas affected by Left Wing Extremism.
Somesh Kumar informed the Centre that compensatory afforestation lands will be identified and weekly review meetings with officials concerned will be held to complete forest clearances within the stipulated time.
