Sarpanch contestant Charla Murali, backed by the BRS, died of a heart stroke after developing chest pain at his home in Chinthaltana R and R Colony, Vemulawada. He was shifted to two hospitals but died on the way to Karimnagar. Police have registered a case

A 19-year-old B.Tech student, Kokonda Abhilash, died by suicide at his home in Sirsapalli of Huzurabad mandal. He was found hanging in the bathroom and was declared brought dead at the government hospital. Police have registered a case and begun investigation.

The Telangana High Court issued notices to the State and Union governments on the Hyderabad Industrial Land Transformation Policy after a PIL challenged the move to allow industrial lands to be converted for residential and mixed use. The court posted the matter to December 29
