Telangana chess player Rajkumar won the sixth Nagpur All-India FIDE-Rated Below-1700 Chess Tournament, scoring 8.5 points in nine rounds without a defeat. The TSWREIS alumnus finished first among 547 participants and received a cash prize of ₹50,000.
Hyderabad: Rajkumar of Telangana won the 6th Nagpur All-India FIDE-Rated Below 1700 Chess Tournament .
The chess player, an alumni of TSWREIS , delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 8.5 points out of nine rounds and remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament. He secured the first position and a cash prize of ₹50,000 among 547 participants.
He is coached by Sivakumar at Shaikpet Chess Academy, who did his schooling in the Social Welfare Residential School (Sirpur).
Dr. Rama Laxman, Chairman, Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree & Junior Colleges PDs and PETs Association, along with others congratulated Rajkumar on his success.
