Hyderabad: The condition of Telugu actor Sai Dharam Tej, who was injured in a road mishap on Friday night, is said to be stable. He is currently being treated at the Apollo Hospitals in Jubilee Hills.
In a medical bulletin issued by the hospital, doctors said medical examination of the actor indicated no major injuries to brain, spine or major organs. He suffered soft tissue injuries and a collar bone fracture.
“He is being closely monitored and further evaluation will be done. There is no need for any immediate surgical intervention,” doctors said.
Film producer and Tej’s uncle, Allu Arvind speaking to the media at the hospital said Tej was safe and there is no internal bleeding. He would recover in few days.
The incident occurred on Friday night around 7.30, when Tej, who was proceeding from Jubilee Hills Road No.45 towards Durgam Cheruvu, near ITC Kohenur, lost control of the vehicle and crashed.
The Madhapur police suspect rash and negligent driving led to the mishap. A case was booked.
Senior officials said footage from surveillance cameras was being examined.
