Hyderabad: Several Telugu podcasts are gaining prominence with many of these podcasts featuring on a music app top podcast chart in India.
Spotify data highlighted that several Telugu podcasts such as, Telugu interesting facts and (OST BGM), Chai Bisket Telugu Podcast, Telugu Kathalu By Pavani, Telugu Geeks Podcast and Garikapati Gyananidhi have been featured on the app’s top podcast chart in India.
Other popular Telugu podcasts include Telugu Stories and Spotify Exclusives Baalgatha- Telugu Stories and Lifetime: Viswa Vikhyatha NTR.
The data captured between April 1 and June 30 this year also revealed that Telugu audiences listen to filmy music even as the industry saw less releases this year due to the pandemic. “Sid Sriram is the most streamed filmy artist, and ‘Chitti’ is the most streamed film song between April 1 and June 30 this year,” says a release from Spotify.
Other top 10 most streamed artists include Arijit Singh, Anirudh Ravichander, S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Shreya Ghoshal, Pritam, K. S. Chithra, Anurag Kulkarni, Devi Sri Prasad and A.R. Rahman.
