Ten arrested for gambling near Tekumatla in Mancherial
Police arrested ten individuals for illegal gambling near Tekumatla village in Jaipur mandal, seizing Rs 1.77 lakh, bikes, and mobile phones. Three accused remain absconding, and a case has been registered against thirteen persons.
Mancherial: Ten persons were arrested for allegedly involved in prohibited gambling on the outskirts of Tekumatla village in Jaipur mandal on Wednesday night. Police seized Rs 1.77 lakh in cash, four bikes and eight mobile phones from them. Three more accused individuals are absconding.
Police said that Chintam Sumanth, Kamera Murali, Puli Mahesh, Beda Srinivas, Mekala Swamy, Gosika Gnanendar, Katam Banesh and Kothapalli Vijay were apprehended for committing the crime, following a tip-off. Satish, Bablu and Akbar were still at large. A case was registered against 13 persons. Investigations are underway.
