Ten transgenders remanded for indulging in immoral activities in Hyderabad
Acting on complaints that a group of transgenders were luring customers and indulging in immoral activities, the Rachakonda AHTU team, SOT and local police raided a house
Hyderabad: The Saroornagar police on Sunday arrested ten transgenders for allegedly indulging in immoral activities and remanded them.
Acting on complaints from local people that a group of transgenders were luring customers at P&T Colony and indulging in immoral activities, the Rachakonda AHTU team, Special Operations Team and local police raided the house.
The P&T colony residential welfare association a few days ago had made complaint to the Rachakonda Commissioner of Police, G Sudheer Babu about the illegal activities in their locality. They submitted photographs and videos to the Rachakonda CP as evidence. They demanded an end to the illegal activities immediately citing that it was bringing a bad name to the locality and posed a risk to the safety of the law abiding residents.
Following the complaint, the Saroornagar police raided the house on Saturday night and ten transgenders were taken into custody. A case was registered against them and they were remanded.
