Hyderabad: Ten-year-old Balina Harini, a Class VI student of Sri Chaitanya Techno School, Habsiguda, won a silver medal in the inaugural Cadet Road National Cycling Championship in the Under-11 girls category here.

Interestingly, Harini is also a chess player and had a brief interaction with world champion D Gukesh during a simultaneous chess exhibition when he visited her school last year.

She also scored 3.5 points from 11 rounds at the National Under-11 Championship in Mangaluru in July.
