Sanjay Kumar has announced that he would stay with the protesters till they got justice.

Earlier, with Sanjay Kumar announcing that he would be reaching Ashok Nagar, police increased its presence in the area and also began restraining Group I aspirants from leaving their hostels.

However, many managed to sneak past the cops and reach the main centre, where they joined the rest of the protesters.

Many women aspirants complained that police thrashed them indiscriminately and also that they were detained for more than 12 hours.
