Hyderabad: Tension flares in Rajendranagar following mosque vandalism
Tension erupted in Hyderabad’s Rajendranagar after unidentified persons allegedly desecrated a mosque, damaging property and holy books. Police registered a case and increased security, while local leaders visited the site. Authorities assured swift action to identify and arrest those responsible

Hyderabad: Tension prevailed for sometime at Rajendranagar on Wednesday night after some persons entered and desecrated a mosque.
According to the complaint made by the committee members of the mosque at Rajendranagar police station, a few individuals entered into the mosque after scaling the gate and damaged some articles and holy books kept in the premises.
The incident came to light later in the night and on information the AIMIM MLC Mirza Rahmath Baig and other leaders reached the spot. DCP Rajendranagar zone S Sreenivas rushed the place along with other police officials and inspected the place. The police assured to arrest the miscreants immediately.
The police presence was beefed up in the area. A case is registered.
