Hyderabad: For the first time, more than 2.10 lakh students appearing for the TG EAPCET 2026 engineering stream examination, commencing on Saturday, will instantly receive their scores after the examination duration. The new initiative is aimed at reducing anxiety among students over their results, besides increasing transparency.

However, the instant scores will be based on the preliminary key. This means scores secured will be provisional in nature and may be subject to change after objections, if any, are accepted by the university on the preliminary key.

The TG EAPCET-2026 rank will be allotted purely based on the performance, i.e., normalised marks according to the final key in the entrance test.

Further, the JNTU – Hyderabad, which is holding the TG EAPCET 2026, has already hosted the bandwidth of marks vs rank obtained by the candidates in TG EAPCET-2024 and 2025 on the website https://eapcet.tgche.ac.in/. After completing their entrance test, students, based on their preliminary scores, can ascertain their ranks, comparing them with previous year’s marks and ranks.

A total of 2,10,766 students registered for the engineering entrance test, which will be conducted at 125 test centres across the State on May 9, 10 and 11. The test will be held in two sessions, i.e., from 9 am to 12 noon, and from 3 pm to 6 pm. Candidates will be permitted into the examination hall from 7.30 am for the forenoon session and 1.30 pm for the afternoon session.

Students will not be allowed into the examination hall even if they are late by a minute. Further, no student will be permitted to leave the exam hall before the end of test duration.

TG EAPCET 2026 convener and JNTU-Hyderabad Rector Dr K Vijaya Kumar Reddy advised candidates to visit the test centre well in advance to get acquainted with the location of the centre and follow the instructions mentioned in the hall ticket.
