TG POLYCET 2026 counselling begins with 33,140 diploma seats across Telangana

TG POLYCET 2026 admission counselling will begin on Wednesday with 33,140 diploma seats available across government and private polytechnics in Telangana. The State has also introduced 10 new diploma programmes, including robotics, semiconductor technology and aircraft maintenance, with 2,220 additional seats.

Hyderabad: As many as 33,140 diploma seats are up for grabs in the Telangana Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TG POLYCET) 2026 admission counselling, which is slated to commence on Wednesday.

Of the total seats, 18,788 are available in 59 government polytechnics, and remaining 14,352 are in 52 private unaided polytechnics across the State.

In addition to 25 existing diplomas, the Technical Education department has announced the launch of 10 new diplomas in the government polytechnics, with an intake of 2,220.

The new programmes are aircraft maintenance, advanced manufacturing technology, automation and robotics, biotechnology, building services engineering, civil engineering, real estate and valuation, construction technology and management, interior design, landscape design and semiconductor technology.

* Registration for counselling and a slot for certificate verification on the website https://tgpolycet.nic.in/ between May 27 and 31

* Certificate verification: May 29 to June 1

* Web options: May 29 to June 3

* Provisional seat allotment: June 6

* 70 helpline centres established

* Fee payment and self-report online: June 6 to 9

* Report at allotted college: June 8 or 9

* Academic session commences on June 9

* Orientation classes on June 9 and 10
