Hyderabad: “HCA Secretary, Mr. M. Jeevan Reddy, has notified on 6th May, 2026 to the press that the TG20 Tournament has received the approval from the BCCI and this information HCA has also posted it on its website in 6th May, 2026 itself.
Still in view of the discussions, doubts, and concerns being circulated on different platforms,” Mr Agam Rao, chairman of the TG20 League Governing Council said in a late night statement.
“On May 6, 2026, Mr. Devajit Saikia, Secretary, BCCI, communicated to the CEO, HCA, granting approval to proceed with the conduct of the TG20 Tournament. On May 26, 2026, General Manager – Cricket Operations, BCCI, confirmed via email to the CEO, HCA, that the request of the Hyderabad Cricket Association to conduct TG20 had been approved by the Hon. Secretary, BCCI and circulated necessary guidelines to follow,” Agam Rao explained.
“On June 15, Anti Corruption Unit (ACU), BCCI, shared the ACU guidelines and protocols to be implemented during the tournament.Subsequently, the BCCI ACU requested HCA to make the necessary travel and logistical arrangements for its officials,” the Governing Council chairman said.
“The designated BCCI ACU officers are already in Hyderabad and have commenced their duties, including conducting orientation sessions for match officials and franchise teams,” he said.
“I trust this addresses any concerns regarding the league’s BCCI approval and conduct,” Agam Rao said.
