TGFDC promotes sustainable living through eco-awareness programmes in Hyderabad
The Telangana Forest Development Corporation organised a series of eco-awareness programmes at the Botanical Garden, Hyderabad, including World Bicycle Day celebrations and a forest fire awareness drive. Participants pledged to adopt sustainable practices and contribute towards a greener, healthier Telangana.

Hyderabad: Telangana Forest Development Corporation (TGFDC), under its eco-tourism brand Deccan Woods & Trails, organized a series of awareness and conservation-oriented programmes at Botanical Garden (Kothaguda Reserve Forest) to promote sustainable living, environmental protection and public well-being.
The day began with the celebration of World Bicycle Day at Pala Pitta Cycling Park, where more than 30 cyclists, volunteers, nature lovers and fitness enthusiasts participated in a cycling event. The rally was flagged off by Dr G Skylab, General Manager, TGFDC.
The other programmes included a Forest Fire Awareness Programme where officers from Telangana Fire Department, Madhapur Fire Station, conducted practical demonstrations on fire safety measures, emergency response procedures and the proper use of fire extinguishers.
The day’s activities concluded with a collective pledge to promote eco-friendly practices, adopt sustainable mobility, strengthen environmental stewardship, and contribute towards building a healthier, greener, and more resilient Telangana.
