TGSRTC becomes India’s first public transport body to adopt AI for operations

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has become the first public transport body in India to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its operations. The initiative aims to enhance efficiency, cut costs, improve commuter services, and promote employee welfare.
TGSRTC has partnered with Hansa Equity Partners LLP to roll out the AI project across all depots. Key measures include AI-based employee health monitoring, automated demand-driven bus scheduling, and performance tracking to streamline operations.
Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Wednesday reviewed the project at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat, along with senior officials including Vikas Raj, IAS, and V.C. Sajjanar, Managing Director, TGSRTC.
