TGSRTC to run special buses for Raksha Bandhan, festive fares up to 1.5 times

TGSRTC will operate special buses until August 11 to manage Raksha Bandhan rush, with fares in these services up to 1.5 times higher. Regular fares remain unchanged. Passengers are urged to choose safe RTC travel over private vehicles.

Hyderabad: On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has made special arrangements to ensure that passengers do not face travel inconvenience.

As in previous years, special buses will be operated until August 11 to handle the festive rush. TGSRTC officials said, as per the state government’s order, ticket fares in special buses alone have been revised by up to 1.50 times.

“Regular buses will continue to charge the usual fares. Display boards will be placed at the front of special buses for passengers’ information, ” TGSRTC said in a statement.

TGSRTC stated that it operates special services during major festivals to provide safe and convenient travel. For return journeys, buses from routes with low passenger traffic will be quickly redeployed to busy routes.

TGSRTC advised people to avoid risky travel in private vehicles and instead travel safely to their hometowns in RTC buses.
