Hyderabad: No matter where one stayed or studied, there was always a home-cooked meal in the lunch-box.
It’s not just about the dishes and flavors, it’s the love and preparation that goes into every meal. And it would always be enough for everyone who shares it, including friends. And Amma would always make sure the dishes are special.
Aruna Priya, mother of two, says: “A lunch-box is not as simple as it seems. It means so much more. It is not only about a mother and a child. It is about my child and his friends. I have all of this in my mind when I prepare the lunch-box.”
Mitesh Lohiya, Director, Sales & Marketing, Gold Drop, says, “During the pandemic, lunch-boxes were replaced by meal times with the family but the role of the mother didn’t change. In fact, there was more innovation happening in the kitchen to ensure the whole family was happy and these were the times that everyone realized that home-made meals were all about swad jo zindigi se jud jaaye.”
Schools are reopening and offices too. Lunch-boxes are going to start again. Will you think of home every time you open your lunch box?
