Thieves decamp with an LPG cylinder in Kothagudem’s Paloncha
A domestic LPG cylinder was stolen from the balcony of a house in Paloncha town, Kothagudem district, amid the ongoing West Asia crisis that has disrupted gas supplies across India. The theft, which left other household items untouched, has raised concerns about rising cylinder-related crimes.
Kothagudem: With the West Asia crisis affecting supply of LPG cylinders all over India, thieves seem to have shifted their focus and are stealing cylinders if an incident at Paloncha in the district is any indication.
In an incident at the Oddugudem area in Paloncha town, a resident named Bhukya Hiran Gandhi recently booked a domestic LPG cylinder and it was delivered on Thursday. The family kept the cylinder on the balcony of their house’s first floor.
Much to the shock of the family members the cylinder was found missing on Friday morning while the inverter battery and other items on the balcony remained untouched. Based on the complaint modged by the family, the local police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
