Thieves strike Nalla Pochamma Temple in Bahadurpally, steal silver, cash

Hyderabad: Unidentified persons targeted Nalla Pochamma Temple at Bahadurpally in Dundigal on a suburb and decamped with the silver ornaments of the deity, cash from the ‘hundi’, and other material on Thursday.
The temple priest had locked the temple and gone home on Wednesday night, after which the thieves are suspected of having entered the premises.
They broke open the lock on the main door and stole the valuables. In the process, they also damaged the presiding deity. The incident came to light when the temple priest returned on Thursday morning.
The Dundigal police are investigating.
