Thirumurugan, Rishitha emerge champions in AITA tournament

Hyderabad: V Thirumurugan and Rishitha Basi Reddy clinched the boys and girls singles titles in the AITA C7 under-14 tournament that concluded at Sania Mirza Tennis Academy, Murtuzaguda. Iftekhar Sharif, founder of the National Bankcard Corporation, gave away the prizes to the winners.

Results (all finals): V. Thirumurugan bt Showrya Syamala 4-6, 7-5, 6-3;
Doubles: Hrishik Valipally & Showrya Syamala bt Rahul Lokesh and Anish Jain 6-1, 6-3; Girls singles: Rishitha Basi Reddy bt Ika Raju 6-4, 3-6, 7-5;
Doubles: D. Laxmi Siri and Rithika Kakarlamudi bt Ika Raju and Rishitha Basi Reddy 2-6, 7-5, 10-7
