Three accused in ganja case get 20 years in prison, Rs.2 lakh fine
A Khammam court sentenced three persons to 20 years in prison and fined them Rs 2 lakh each in a ganja case. Police seized 194 kg of ganja from their car in 2021 and proved they were supplying it to Hyderabad

Khammam: First Additional District and Sessions Court judge K Umadevi sentenced three persons accused in a ganja case to 20 years in prison and a fine of Rs 2 lakh each.
According to the prosecution, on April 7, 2021, while checking vehicles at Venkatayapalem, the Raghunadhapalem police stopped a car and found 194 kg of ganja worth Rs 30 lakh in it. During the interrogation of the accused, it was found that they were supplying ganja to Hyderabad from Donkarayi in ASR district of Andhra Pradesh. The police registered a case under the NDPS Act, 1985 against the accused Boda Vala of Peddagudur in Mahabubabad district, Kondapalli Ravi Teja and Bojja Vamsi of Sarapaka in Burgampadu mandal. After investigation, they filed a charge sheet in the court.
The judge delivered the verdict after the charges against the accused were proven. The then investigating officer Inspector Satyanarayana Reddy, additional public prosecutor J Sarath Kumar Reddy, court constable Sambasiva Rao, court liaison officer K Srikanth (SI) and home guard Md Ayub were congratulated by senior police officials for securing conviction in the case.
