Three arrested for robbing man after luring him through Grindr app in Hyderabad
Three men were arrested in Hyderabad’s Rajendranagar for robbing a 28-year-old after luring him through the Grindr app. The accused forced the victim to transfer ₹10,000 to an e-wallet and snatched his mobile phone before being caught by police.

Hyderabad: Three persons who robbed a man of Rs 10,000 and mobile phone after luring him through Grindr app to Attapur were arrested on Wednesday.
The arrested are Mohd Sohail (24), Mohd Maqdoom Ali (25) and Mohd Abdul Wasif (25), all residents of Rajendranagar.
According to the police, the victim, aged 28 years, a resident of Vattepally had created an account on Grindr app and on noticing it, Sohail sent a message asking to come to Rajendranagar and meet. “After luring the victim to an isolated place, Sohail, Maqdoom and Wasif forced him to transfer Rs. 10,000 to an e-wallet and snatched away the mobile phone,” said ACP Rajendrangar, T Srinivas.
On a complaint, the Rajendranagar police registered a case and arrested the trio.
