Hyderabad: The Saroornagar police on Friday arrested three persons on charges of stealing batteries attached to surveillance cameras installed by L&T at various places in the city. Police recovered 40 batteries, all together worth Rs 2 lakh from their possession. The arrested were identified as D Suresh, K Govindu and Mohd Fayaz, all residents of Singareni Colony. Police said the batteries were stolen by V Lakshmi and V Chitti, both ragpickers, and with the help of Suresh, transported and sold off to Govindu and Fayaz. Efforts are on to nab other suspects in the case, officials said.
