Three carpentry workshops gutted in fire mishap in Nirmal
Carpenters Velpur Rajashekhar, Ranjith, and Rakesh stated that their workshops were completely destroyed in the fire, which was triggered by an electric short-circuit. Although fire engines were called, the property had already been reduced to ashes by the time firefighters arrived.
Nirmal: Three workshops belonging to carpenters were gutted when a fire broke out due to suspected electric short-circuit at Ola village in Kuntala mandal late on Saturday night. The value of the property damaged was assessed to be Rs 40 lakh, according to the shopowners.
Carpenters Velpur Rajashekhar, Ranjith and Rakesh claimed that their workshops were reduced to ashes when the fire broke out due to electric short-circuit. Fire engines were summoned, but in vain as the property was burnt by the time firefighters reached the spot.
The carpenters said that equipment and furniture kept in the workshops was destroyed due to the fire accident. They said that the cost of the property damaged was around Rs 40 lakh. They requested the government to extend support to them.
