Hyderabad: A three-day para sports training camp for the PWD students of Navodaya schools in Telangana State was inaugurated at the NLI, Hyderabad, on Wednesday. This training camp was an initiative of NVS with the collaboration of Aditya Mehta Foundation.
44 students were selected from the various Navodayas across the State. Dr Asha Shaikh, Head Physiotherapist of AMF and National Classifier for parasports has taken an awareness lecture on para sports and para Olympics.
Speaking on this occasion T Gopalakrishna Deputy Commissioner and Director of NLI Hyd, said that, “it is like a new door which has opened for the students of differently able qualities to reach every height in their lives. They should use this opportunity to the maximum”. Later, coaches started the camp.
