Three-day photo exhibition inaugurated in Adilabad

The exhibition is being organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) to mark Hyderabad Liberation Day observed on September 17.

Adilabad: Local MP Godam Nagesh called everyone to recall sacrifices made by martyrs for liberation of Hyderabad. He along with Adilabad MLA Payal Shankar formally inaugurated a three-day long photography exhibition on ‘Hyderabad Liberation Day’ on the premises of Government Degree College (Arts and Commerce) here on Tuesday.

The exhibition is being organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) to mark Hyderabad Liberation Day observed on September 17.


Speaking on the occasion, Nagesh told the public to know the history of leaders who participated in the liberation of Hyderabad and laid down their lives for the cause. He opined that sacrifices of the martyrs should be carried forward to future generations. He was all praise for CBC for conducting the event, narrating the roles of martyrs.

The dignitaries later handed over prizes to winners of essay and elocution competitions held as part of the Hyderabad Liberation Day. Earlier, artistes presented Dimsa art form enthralling audiences. Visitors expressed happiness to have seen rare photographs of the liberation. They were curious to find the important events of the liberation through photographs.

CBC field publicity officer D Dharma Naik, GDC principal Dr Ateeq Begum, vice principal Raghu Ganapathi, 32 (T) battalion NCC commandant Colonel Vikas, AIR-Adilabad station programme head Rameshwar and many others were present.
