Jagtial: Three persons including two migrant labourers died and five others injured in a road accident that took place near Rajaram of Mallial mandal on Sunday night.

The incident occurred when a two wheeler vehicle rammed into an autorikshaw coming from opposite direction on Karimnagar-Jagtial main road.


According to police, a resident of Bathini Sanjiv along with his friend Madhu was proceeding towards Jagtial on a two wheeler. Sanjiv hit an autorikshaw coming from the opposite direction. As a result, autorikshaw in which the migrant labourers were traveling overturned.

Besides Sanji (26), two migrant labourers Gopal Satnavi (21) of Chhattisgarh, and Sadakar Sahoo (28) of Odisha died on the spot. Sanji’s friend Madhu, who received serious injuries, has been shifted to Karimnagar hospital for treatment.

Labourers Jitendra, Harsha Kumar, Bihenu, and Suresh were admitted to Jagtial government hospital. The migrant labourers are working in Jagtial urban housing colony in the outskirts of Mallial mandal.

Mallial CI Ramanamurthy and SI Chiranjiv visited the spot and began investigation by registering the case.
