Three foresters escape unhurt after narrow shave with tiger in Asifabad
Forest beat officers Banaiah and Aravind along with tracker Satti had a narrow escape during a sudden confrontation with the tiger which was on the prowl in the forests.
Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Three foresters managed to escape unhurt by raising alarms for 30 minutes as a tiger tried to attack them when they were visiting a spot where the wild animal had killed a cow earlier on the outskirts of Charigaon village in Kaghaznagar mandal on Sunday. They were installing CCTV cameras at the time of the incident.
Forest beat officers Banaiah and Aravind along with tracker Satti had a narrow escape during a sudden confrontation with the tiger which was on the prowl in the forests. They told reporters that they managed to save their lives from the jaws of the carnivore by making noise when it came to attack them. They were fixing CCTV cameras to track movement of the tiger when the incident occurred.
It is learnt that survival tactics used by the foresters proved a boon for the three when they made noise after encountering the tiger. Foresters are told to be cautious when moving in groups and carrying logistics such as a camouflaged dress, shoes and defensive weapons. The training helped them in preventing the attack, opined a forester.
