Hyderabad: Three girls are feared to have drowned in a pit filled with water at a construction site at KPHB Phase-4 on Friday.

Police sources said the three victims, all aged under ten, are friends and from the same neighbourhood. They are suspected to have come to play near the pit, when they accidentally fell into it.


On receiving information, the KPHB police reached the spot and along with the GHMC officials and with the help of expert swimmers started a rescue operation.
