Three held for cultivating ganja in Asifabad
Three persons were arrested in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district for cultivating banned ganja plants. Police seized 36 cannabis plants worth Rs 3.5 lakh from their possession. Another accused, involved in growing five plants, is still absconding.
Kumram Bheem Asifabad: In three separate incidents, three persons were arrested on charges of cultivating banned ganja plants on Friday. Police seized 36 cannabis plants worth Rs 3.5 lakh from their possession, while another accused person remains absconding.
Police said that Pendur Bheemrao of Guttaguda and Kobada Chitru of Kothaguda in Sirpur (U) mandal were arrested for growing 27 plants. Shyamrao of Mankuguda in Jainoor mandal was held for cultivating four plants following a tip-off. However, Kanaka Limbarao, who was found to be raising five plants, is still at large.
