Hyderabad: The Rajendranagar police arrested three persons in connection with the a gang rape and extortion case on Friday.
The arrested persons are Narsing Rao from Kukatpally, Naresh from Jagadgirigutta and B. Prasad, from Balanagar, all auto rickshaw drivers.
According to the police, the 32-year-old woman met Naresh at a toddy compound in Rajendranagar on Wednesday, and gave money to him for buying toddy.
“Both consumed toddy and meanwhile, other two suspects too joined them. Taking advantage of the situation, the trio took her to the isolated place to the Service Road of ORR at Himayathsagar and gang raped the woman, who was in an inebriated condition,” said an official.
Later the suspects robbed her gold ornaments, mobile phone and other valuables.
The Rajendranagar police verified the CCTV footages and the suspects were identified and nabbed.
