Three held for online cricket betting in Hyderabad; Rs 2.4 lakh, three phones seized

Hyderabad: The Task Force (South) team along with local police caught three persons for alleged cricket betting in Chikkadpally on Thursday. Officials seized cash of Rs 2.4 lakh and three mobile phones from them.

The arrested trio was identified as Mohd Firasath, a sub-bookie from Rein Bazaar, Nitin Kumar from Moosarambagh and Vikas Agarwal from Domalguda, both punters.

Police said the suspects procured online cricket betting user IDs from the main bookie Pavan of Jaipur to operate and play cricket betting during the IPL-2025.

Further they are also providing login IDs and passwords to the punters on the commission basis illegally.

Following a tip-off, the trio was nabbed and the incriminating material was seized from them.
