Adilabad: Three youngsters were arrested for allegedly attempting to loot money from an ATM and in Adilabad town on Wednesday night. The town police produced them before the media here on Thursday after seizing three motorbikes and an auto-rickshaw from their instance.
Adilabad DSP NSV Venkateshwar Rao said that the accused were Shaik Harshad, Shaik Junaid and Shaik Chand Pasha, all belong to different parts of Adilabad town.
During the course of the interrogation, the trio confessed to making a vain bid to steal cash from the cash vending kiosk located near Little Star School at Ravindranagar. They admitted that they were indulging in different crimes after being addicted to lead a lavish lifestyle. Venkateshwar Rao stated that policemen averted the stealing of cash from the ATM by reaching the spot immediately after receiving information about the act. He said that the investigating officers cracked the case and detected the offenders within 7 hours with the help of modern technology, in particular footage of CCTV cameras.
Adilabad I Town Inspector K Ramakrishna, Task Force Inspector E Chandramouli, Traffic Inspector Gangadhar, Sub-Inspectors Gunawanth Rao, G Appa Rao, Anwar-Ul-Huq and many other police officials were present.
