Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Special Operations Team along with the Madhapur police on Tuesday caught three persons for stealing Rs.55 lakh from an automobile service centre at Madhapur last Friday. Police recovered the stolen cash intact from them.
The arrested persons were Mohd.Taher (20), a mechanic at the service centre, Syed Jawed (19), and Saif Mohiuddin (19), both students. All three were from Asifnagar.
According to the police, in the early hours on Friday, Taher was aware where the service centre owner kept Rs.55 lakh. The three suspects broke open the almirah with tools and decamped with the cash, which was kept for investing in a new showroom at Begumpet, police said.
As part of investigation, officials questioned all the employees and zeroed on Taher over strong suspicion. He was taken into custody and he confessed to the crime during questioning.
They were produced before court and remanded in judicial custody.
