Jangaon: Three persons, travelling in two cars which rammed into each other on Hyderabad-Warangal Highway, miraculously survived with injuries. The incident took place at Pembarthi village of Jangaon mandal in the district on Tuesday. According to police, a speeding car, going towards Hyderabad, hit the divider and jumped and collided with an oncoming Hanamkonda-bound car on the other side of the road around 9.15 am.
The front portions of both the cars were badly damaged by the impact of the head-on collision. The injured were rushed to Jangaon Government Area Hospital.
Erukula Anand Kumar (49) of Medipally near Hyderabad, and his friend Kanakala Linga Reddy (63) of Bibi Nagar near Hyderabad, who were travelling in a car bearing registration no TS 3U – 3933 (Breeza) to Hanamkonda, suffered injuries and were shifted to the Jangaon area government hospital by 108 ambulance, according to Anand Kumar’s brother-in-law Vanga Arjun. He said that the driver of another car (Swift Dezire bearing TS 03 FA 0 3990), who was going towards Hyderabad was in the wrong as he was driving was driving rashly and negligently and urged the police to take action against him. Police registered a case and are investigating.
