Three IPS officers from Telugu states empanelled as Additional DGPs

Hyderabad: Three senior IPS officers from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states are among 14 officers who have been empanelled as the Additional Directors General of Police (Additional DGPs). Orders to this effect were released by the Union Government late on Thursday.
CV Anand (Telangana cadre – 1991 batch), Jitender (Telangana – 1992) and Nalin Prabhat (Andhra Pradesh- 1992) are among the 14 officers who are elevated as the Additional DGPs.
Interestingly, the current empanelment was for the 1992 batch of IPS officers, but three officers of earlier batches – Prashant Kumar (UP – 1990), CV Anand (AP- 1991) and Vivek Gogia (UT-1991) – were included in this years list.
The other officers of 1992 batch include: Nalin Prabhat (AP), B Srinivasan (BH), Lalit Das (OR), Sapna Tewari (OR), Harpreet Singh Sidhu (PB), Rajesh Nirwan (RJ), Hemant Priyadarshy (RJ), Jitender (TG), Anand Swaroop (UP), MM Oberoi (UT) and Pankaj Saxena (UT-JK).
Interestingly, only 11 officers of the 1992 batch made it to the Additional DG level, while the entire batch consisted of nearly 80 officers.
