Hyderabad: The initiative to ease traffic problems and help motorists save on travel time by developing a network of link roads in the city will have three of these facilities opening for traffic in June.

The three new link roads set to dot the bustling IT corridor of the city are — from RTO office (Kondapur) – Novotel junction, NAC gate – IDPL Colony and Novotel Hotel – Vasantha City.


Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) principal secretary, Arvind Kumar inspected the ongoing works on link roads on Friday and instructed the officials of Hyderabad Road Development Corporation Limited (HRDCL) to ensure the roads are inaugurated by June.

Officials were instructed to complete the pending civic works which include greenery development along central medians and illumination. He also inspected multiple sites to start construction of a new link road, Vasantha City – Kukatpally flyover.

“We are planning to take up crucial greenfield missing link roads by #HRDC. Inspected 5 such important sites today along with CE, ZC & team HRDC to finalise the alignment,” Arvind Kumar tweeted.
