Hyderabad: Despite being missing for three months, there is still no trace of Chiluvuru Satyanarayana, a 62-year-old retired schoolteacher from Abdulapurmet in Sangareddy district. Satyanarayana retired in January 2025 and spent five months running from pillar to post to secure his retirement benefits. Depressed over the endless delays and mounting pressure from lenders, he reportedly left home on the night of June 23.
CCTV footage shows Satyanarayana leaving home at 1.30 am without his phone or personal belongings. He left no note and made no calls thereafter. Initially, his family believed he only needed a break from the stress, but weeks have turned into months with no sign of him.
“We don’t know if he’s hurt or lost,” said a family member. They have put up posters across Rangareddy district, from Hyderabad markets to the Sangareddy Collectorate, offering a Rs 50,000 reward for any information. “We’re not rich, but we’ll give everything to find him,” his son said.
Today, many shops display posters of the missing teacher. Schoolchildren helping in the search are gathering any possible leads. The family maintains that the delay in receiving his retirement dues left Satyanarayana frustrated and burdened. They have appealed to anyone with information to call 7569631333 or 9063630422.
