Hyderabad: Three international passengers who arrived at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad, from non at-risk countries have tested positive for Omicron variant on Saturday, taking the overall number of international arrivals who have tested positive for Omicron to 41 in Telangana. Of them, 10 patients have already recovered and presently, 31 Omicron positive passengers are under isolation at TIMS, Gachibowli.
On Saturday, a total of 333 international passengers arrived at RGIA, Shamshabad out of which eight have tested positive for Covid-19. The blood samples of all the Covid positive international passengers were collected and sent for full genome sequencing to ascertain their Omicron status. Overall, genome sequencing results of 20 blood samples are awaited.
